For those of you who haven’t heard, Napolitano released some new information regarding deferred action at a hearing on Thursday:
- Applicants younger than 31 on June 15, 2012 will be eligible to apply for deferred action.
- Application procedures are anticipated to be issued on August 1, 2012.
- DHS will begin accepting applications on August 15th, 2012. If you’re in the Illinois Area, you should join ICIRR on DreamRelief Day @ Navy Pier on August 15th for workshops and help with your application. More information will be forthcoming. In the mean time, sign up to receive for more information and gather required documents.
- There will be a $465 fee, which includes fees for both work authorization and biometrics.
Remember, there is still not an application in place for those who are not in deportation proceedings. Beware notario fraud!
